About: Motlow State Building 3 is an 86,000 sq. ft. higher education teaching building. The building is three stories and is a steel frame, composite slab on metal deck building. The lateral system is steel moment frames and the building is supported by shallow spread footings. The first floor had an open computer lab/library/open study area that required transferring a steel column that used a W36 girder to create the open space.
